He is unfailingly courteous, fastidiously clean and provides a thorough service, which goes well beyond the quick ‘ram’ with a brush that many seem to think will do – he offers premium quality. Fully recommended to anyone who wants a proper job done.

My woodburning stove has never been so well looked after since it was installed. Martin did a wonderfully thorough job – checking & resealing the join of the flue pipe to the stove & thoroughly cleaning the flue, testing it, ensuring I’d got an up to date carbon monoxide tester and so on. All done very cheerfully and CLEANLY even though it was his last call of the day and he must have been tired.
He is a victim of his own success, so you may have to wait for a booking – but if you want your chimney and flues cleaned properly, he’s definitely worth the wait!

Today Martin came to sweep four of our chimneys. He was very thorough and professional going the “extra mile” to ensure that the chimneys were safe and usable. He set himself swiftly and efficiently, left everything clean and packed down thoroughly. He talked me through the work he completed on each chimney and showed me live CCTV shots of one chimney with a remarkably narrow gap (due to a structural problems). If you want to know your chimneys are well maintained and safe I would certainly recommend him.

Martin initially came to sweep our gas fire chimney and immediately expressed concern about our chimney pot. Despite our gas engineer claiming it was perfectly safe Martin did not give up. He was obviously concerned for our safety and did his research, even texting me in the evening with links to prove his worries weren’t unfounded. Subsequently the gas engineer agreed the chimney cowl should be replaced. After a lot of work we have finally had our chimney swept and mortice lock replaced this morning. Thank you Martin for a fabulous job. You are extremely professional and a thoroughly nice bloke. We enjoyed our chat too! You diligently followed up our job, turned up on time, even brought your own doormat to save our floors. Five star service. We would highly recommend you.

Martin swept our chimney plus a few other minor repairs. He arrived on time and was very professional and clearly is a master of his trade! Our chimney was in an awful state as turns out previous owners of our house had not swept the chimney in 15 years! It took him 3 and a half hours to rescue the chimney but he did an excellent job and was very tired! He has cameras and modern sweep equipment and explained everything! I would not hesitate to recommend him and we will certainly be using him regularly from now on.

I can’t recommend highly enough! When I telephoned, he was upfront and gave me worst case scenario (i.e. most expensive – I had a brush stuck in my chimney) and arranged a time to suit us both for a visit. He got the brush out, cleaned the chimney and was a thoroughly nice bloke! I will definitely be using his services again.

Martin was the third sweep I had to contact as the 2 others did not want the challenge of cleaning my chimney that hadn’t been swept for nearly 10 years! He warned me it would make an awful mess – both of him and the room – but he managed to contain the mess best he could. He arrived on time and got to work straight away. Very professional service – he knew his stuff – it took him 3 hours but the chimney and the fireplace have never looked so clean. I would really recommend this sweep! Thanks Martin now I can light a fire without worrying about a fire in the chimney. I promise I won’t leave it another 10 years!

Just had my chimney swept by Martin and the service was faultless. He was friendly and professional and quick. He checked our wood burner to make sure it was safe, checked the chimney pots and cleaned the wood burner when he was finished. He was clean, tidy and efficient. Martin did a fantastic job cleaning my chimney. He was very fastidious and a complete professional. He put the camera up my chimney and explained everything that he could see. He took great care to make sure everything was sealed and clean and even went outside to check the chimney stack. I would highly recommend Martin. He swept my father’s chimney which hadn’t been done for 30+ years. Incredibly, Martin managed to contain all 20kg of debris and left the fire place and room in an immaculate condition. He’s also very informed of safety precautions to help avoid potential future hazards, and obviously takes pride in his work. Lastly, his services are excellent value. I will now book him annually and suggest readers of this do the same.
